Google is preparing for the arrival of a new connected device bearing the serial number G28DR, it has obtained certification from the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), an essential step before launching a product for the general public.
What’s new at Google?
The certification document specifies that this wireless device has WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity. The fact that it is not certified Wi-Fi ac or ax, the latest standards in force, suggests that it is not a modern smartphone, but rather a connected object.
Our colleagues from 9To5Google explain that it is undoubtedly a new NEST connected camera due to the presence of a 3.65 Vdc battery, similar to that of the brand’s latest products.
Given the state of progress of the project, we will no doubt have details in the weeks or months to come.
